College Park - The City of College Park and the University of Maryland will participate in The American Tribute by beginning their fireworks display with the Tribute salute at the University of Maryland, College Park, on July 4, 2002. It will begin with a concert from 7-9 p.m., a brief "American Tribute" program , and the fireworks display beginning at dark. [Sponsored by the College Park American Legion Post 217]
